what does one study in college, when wanting to work on the radio in the future?

I am really interested in the radio area. I am really interested in becoming a radio dj or even maybe starting my own radio later in the future… I’m just wondering if anyone can help me and tell me anything they know about the college I have to go through and etc. :) thanks for any help you can give me.

Major would be Communications

    I am not sure what major that would be but the first place I would start would be with communication. I would take public speaking classes, and any classes that have to do with communication and maybe at least one psychology class just so you know how to interact with people that are abrasive or obnoxious. I would also try to meet with a college career counselor.
