Looking for a cheap motherboard for a HP Pavillion Slimline s3000?

The motherboard on my HP is knackered and I was wondering if any of you lot know where I can find a cheap (New OR Refurbished) One. Thanks Guys.

Checking Ebay is probably your best bet… unfortunately HP’s Slimline motherboards are weird. They even have a mini-ATX power connector on the motherboard, which only HP’s proprietary small psus are compatible with… a standard 20/24 pin ATX power cable doesn’t fit.

Power supply issues aside, replacing the motherboard with something different will invalidate the copy of Windows installed on the hard drive. The OEM versions used by HP, Dell, Sony, Acer etc are restricted to the original hardware.
