Has anyone else recieved an email from a James Hahn with Interlan Inc for a work from home position?

I recieved an email for a work from
home personal assistant job from a James Hahn. I wasn’t sure if this was a scam or not? It sounds a bit to good to be true. Any info is appreciated.

The first thing to do is call the REAL Interlan Inc
http://www.manta.com/c/mmj10jt/interlan-inc speak to Human Resources and confirm they have a James Hahn working there and they are offering home based personal assistant jobs. The website is down, so it might be a sign the company has gone out of business but a scammer is falsely using their name. If that is the case, contact the site where the job was posted and have them remove the post immediately.

If you look up the name James Hahn on Yahoo, you’ll see other people were scammed by a person with that same name, also using a different company name, also for a personal assistant job but it was nothing but a money laundering scam – they send counterfeit checks, you deposit them, send money to another person and keep 5%.

It takes a month for your bank to discover the check was counterfeit and you just sent your own money – plus you will be investigated for bank fraud and could possibly face jail time like this girl found out falling for a similar job scam http://www.kirotv.com/money/16091642/detail.html

If you have already provided your mailing address and do receive a check in the mail,DO NOT deposit it. Keep the original envelope and all emails from this person with full headers printed out and turn it over to your nearest FBI Field Office http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm
Do not respond to any future emails for any reason – keep copies of everything to show that you are the victim, not an accomplice
