Is a straight couple using contraception as immoral as homosexual sex?
Christianity is against homosexuality because man and woman were put on Earth to procreate, yes? Man and man does not equal procreation and all that? So, it stands to reason that a straight couple (married or unmarried) using a condom during intercourse is just as against God’s will as a gay couple having sex? So why do a lot of Christians set their sights on gay couples, when, in God’s eyes, heterosexual couples using contraception are just as sinful?
The Pope seems to think so..
He would rather people get HIV rather than them use condoms..
Premise: Christianity is against homosexuality because man and woman were put on Earth to procreate, yes?
NO. Christianity is against homosexuality because it is a sin. God’s rule, not ours.
Peace.

Depends on who you ask. Some Roman Catholics and Mormons consider it wrong, but not all christians think so.

If by contraception one means condoms, I do not think so, not even from a very orthodox and strict christian perspective, though I’m not sure about a catholic one, even if the pope’s opinion on the subject seems unusually flexible – abortions, well, that’s another matter. ^_^

That’s a great point… In my eyes, neither is immoral. But in the eyes of the pope, I suppose they are the same thing.

Biblically it’s perferred if two people are married before they engage in any intimate relations. Lawfully, it’s different. Theocracies are difficult for a lot of people, but I can handle it. I would go to Iran if I had the chance. Over there, it is a traditional country. Man and woman marry.
