Sell everything that isn’t nailed down on eBay.

People will buy old sneakers, unmatched crockery, all sorts of things.

Most people have a thousand dollars or more in junk just lying around.

There aren't too many honest ways. Call your local United Way and ask for consumer credit counseling services, housing assistance, exc. There are lots of agencies out there just to help people in your situation.
